The "Occupy And Beyond" Tour will feature the music of Ryan Harvey of U.S.-based anarchist music collective Riot-Folk. The tour will host literature and information from movements from various countries, and intends to listen and learn from people in the various countries that it visits, to return those stories to both the United States and other countries the tour passes through.
Since mid-2011, Ryan has performed over 100 shows in 15 countries, including over 3 months of performances at and around "Occupy" movement encampments in the United States. His songs and stories, themed around the global upheaval catalyzed by the Arab Spring and other mass protests across the world (including the Indignados demonstrations in Spain and the Occupy Wall Street movement in the U.S.) are meant to educate, instigate, and inspire.
"Ryan has been writing and performing hard-hitting political folk songs for over ten years. A part of the Riot-Folk Collective, his music is aimed to support those working for positive change and to educate people about issues of peace and social & economic justice."
